Data protection

The commitment of Lufthansa Technik and therefore also Lufthansa Technik Intercoat to data protection even exceeds the strict legislation in place in Germany and Europe in some cases, and it is summarised in the following principles. Lufthansa Technik attaches great importance to finding a middle way to enable it on the one hand to offer its customers personalised services, but on the other also to protect the right of every individual to protect their data. If you have questions or problems with regard to data protection, please contact our data protection coordinator.

Principles

Lufthansa Technik Intercoat does not store any personal data via the internet unless you explicitly provide us with this information. If Lufthansa Technik Intercoat stores information, this is only done for the purposes designated.
The information made available to us is treated in strict confidence. The information is neither sold nor passed on, nor is it sent to third parties for their own purposes unless we are obliged to do so due to illegal or illicit actions.
The data sent to us by our customers are deleted as soon as the actual reason for generating them no longer applies or the user informs us that they would like to have their data deleted.
Lufthansa Technik Intercoat employs current security technology to store customer data. The SSL system is used at present. It ensures that third parties have no access to data transmitted over the internet between the customer and Lufthansa Technik Intercoat (e.g. ISPs or network operators).
We endeavour to keep the data entrusted to us up to date, and we process updating requests quickly and reliably.
We confirm that our employees are instructed to observe our standards which we have defined in a commitment.

On the subject of processing and storing data, please also read the Register of processing operations for Lufthansa Technik Intercoat.

Individualised access

To improve and personalise our online service, we use so-called cookies for individualised access. We confirm that we erase the data as soon as you terminate the connection with our website. The data collected by us (domain name, pages viewed, number of visits, time spent on the site) serve the exclusive purpose of improving our website and its contents. The process of analysing the data respects the anonymity of all our customers.

Data from individual visits to our website are saved for the purpose of error analysis. These data are used exclusively for remedying defects and analysing hacker attacks, and they are erased after the two-week storage deadline expires.

Internet links

We are aware that not all suppliers on the internet adhere to these principles. We take no responsibility for the conduct of third parties. Although we endeavour only to provide links on our site to websites which observe the principles specified above, we are not responsible for the content or the data protection guidelines of other websites, network operators or ISPs.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file element than can be exchanged between a website and the user’s browser. It can be stored at both ends to enable the internet application to identify if the user returns. You can set your browser to inform you every time a cookie is installed on your computer. You can choose whether to accept the cookie or not. If you do not accept the installation of the cookie, you will not be able to visit the website. If you accept the cookie, you can delete it after every session.

Laws

The legal basis for data protection, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and with regard to the free transfer of data, is the GDPR Basic Regulation (DSGVO) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, which is binding in the EU.

For Germany, the Regulation is supplemented by the “Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (neu)” [“Federal Data Protection Act (new)”].
